Going into the first year of fulltime HIGH SCHOOL teaching-- the question becomes, 'what will happen?' My trials and tribulations are as follows...

I have just started watching that new reality Rock star show called Rockstar: Inxs. The band is looking for a new lead singer and have whittled down the selections to 14 now. It is like Idol, but with a much more realistic feel and not quite as cheesy as Idol. Anyway, there is a chick from St. Paul. Her vocals are AWESOME! She is only 22, her name is Jordis and I predict she will take the lead. She rocks! If you are interested, the adverts said it was being broadcast worldwide (how that is possible is beyond me, maybe via the web?)

I quit smoking two weeks ago. It is going good. It helps to not be living with smokers and to be getting the support I need from Dave. He is being wonderful. And this past weekend we adopted our own dog from the Humane Society in Coon Rapids. He is an Alaskan Husky and absolutely mellow and gorgeous and sweet. So I've got a walking buddy now and I can't blow off going for a walk because Yukon depends on us to get his exercise. He is two and a half years old. He was given up because he kept killing the neighbor's chickens (7 in all) and a few rabbits... well that is just the Husky in him, its in his nature to hunt. You can't take the hunter out of the dog.

School finishes on Thursday and then the next summer session begins on Monday. That is going to kind of suck because I have class at 7.30a.m. M~Th. So I will try to get up early enough every day to take Yukon for his morning walk. That way when Dave comes home from work he can just feed him and go to bed. He is still working overnights.

This heat and humidity is a total bummer during the afternoons. It is definitely summer in MN. A big change from last summer. Oh well. The mosquitoes are not as bad because the city has been spraying, but they still find me and get me. I am not looking forward to going up to the farm to see Picasso. The mosquitoes are probably breeding in the pond. So they are very thick at the farm.
