Going into the first year of fulltime HIGH SCHOOL teaching-- the question becomes, 'what will happen?' My trials and tribulations are as follows...

I am so happy Dave is home. It is great to have him snuggled up next to me while we drift off to sleep. It is as he says...he was only gone for one really long day. The sun went down....then it came up and he came home. Albeit, a year later. But we picked up where we left off. Stronger for the separation.

Mom and Dad are eager for me to abandon ship. Translation...get the f out of their house. Then it will be Scott's turn to leave and they can have their peace and quiet back.

Have been having a hard time concentrating on school. But am getting back on track.

Got a gig tutoring two Japanese girls who are studying at the local high school. Their English is not so good and they are floundering badly in their studies. They told me the most difficult thing is reading, speaking and listening. Well, that about sums up living in a foreign country. So I will have to create materials for them. But it is something new and different and I am really excited for this opportunity.
My name is getting out there. Maybe I can turn this into an employment opportunity.

Picasso is doing good. He is still a turd sometimes...especially if he is out exploring and doesn't want to "come" when called. That is his most challenging command. Puppy classes are good. But I'm not sure if he will get the "good canine citizen" award. He is a bit bullheaded. Gee, he fits right in with this family.

Going to Canada for Thanksgiving weekend. Just me and Dave. An opportunity to get away, just the two of us. Kind of roughing it, as the cabin's water supply has been turned off for the season. Should be interesting to see how I do. New challenges are good.

He made it home!!!!

Am a VERY happy girl!!!

Happy, happy, joy, joy......

Staying at the cabin. Am at work right now. Back to real life. Got a foot in the door with the ESL/ELL world of work in my neighborhood. Am meeting with two Japanese girls next week to see about tutoring them and to help them adjust to life and learning in MN. Ought to be interesting. The best part is I get paid for it, and I totally love it, that it isn't like a "job". Woo hoo!!!!!!
