Going into the first year of fulltime HIGH SCHOOL teaching-- the question becomes, 'what will happen?' My trials and tribulations are as follows...

Oh how the NEW year sucks. I've basically decided that anything bad is going to happen to me within the first three months of any year. My favorite Grandpa died (a while ago now) in February. My little bro, Scott died in February, 2002. I busted my teeth in March. Now this....
Last week my dog, Picasso was hit by a car, intentionally it looks like based on the tire marks I saw. So he had surgery to repair his busted hip on Monday and is now home recouperating. Don't forget my 'rents are in FL for the month and only left a couple of days before New Years' Eve.
Then, my dipsh*t stepbrother decided to get hammered (remember he is suppose to be sober and not drinking at all)on Saturday afternoon and drive my parents car. He frickin' crashed it and claims that the front tire blew out on him. He got busted with multiple bottles and one open one in the car. He basically kissed custody of his daughter goodbye.
Two days ago found out my parents drain field is frozen for the winter which means we can't use too much water here at the farm.
It has been a nightmare. Fortunately, Dave is being really great and helpful and supportive.
So I hope everyone else's New Year has started off better than mine.
